Will you stand with us on International Women’s Day?

Women in many countries face physical and sexual abuse and violence. An unthinkable number are forced to undergo female genital mutilation; entire populations of girls are denied even basic education; and the practice of forced marriage of girls as young as 10 years old continues to be widespread.  This international women’s day please consider making a gift to support our work to advance the rights of women and girls.

Crossroads International’s partners, volunteer and donor are investing in innovative approaches   to deliver measurable improvements in the lives of girls, women and their communities.

None of this would be possible without your support and support from all our caring donors. Will you stand with them and us this International Women’s Day by making your gift today?

A grant of $10,000 will be awarded to a qualifying Crossroads partner organization. The scholarship recipient will participate to a leadership training at the Coady International Institute in Nova Scotia. Each year, Crossroads issues a call for applications to two of its seven partner countries in Africa for the grant, and oversees a nomination process for the scholarship in one country.

The Karen Takacs Women’s Leadership Fund was created by the Board of Directors of Crossroads International in 2015 to celebrate Karen’s transformative leadership over twelve years as Executive Director and to provide financial support to African organizations whose work advances women’s leadership and equality for women and girls.
