A flourishing partnership

A message from Crossroads new Executive Director

In May 2016 Carine Guidicelli became the new Executive Director of Crossroads International. Here are a few of her thoughts on her vision for the role and the organization.

I am thrilled to be taking on this new challenge with such a committed team of professionals and volunteers. The mission of Crossroads International is hugely motivating to me, as it perfectly parallels my own values and commitment to contribute to equality between men and women, to help give women and girls a voice, and to work with them to improve their living conditions.

Having just spent five years in West Africa, I can testify to the fact that the needs of these women and girls are critical. While they are recognized as being the key to sustainable development in their communities, it is still beyond urgent that they receive support to uphold their often trampled-upon rights, and gain new ones, particularly access to land. Crossroads is a major player in supporting the rights of the most vulnerable women and girls, and we plan to intensify our efforts and strengthen our commitment to them.
