Papa Mangone Basal

I’m a university graduate in sociology and international public administration. I have a wealth of experience stretching back more than 15 years in the field of development, planning, and the monitoring and evaluation of national and international projects and programs. I’ve carried significant responsibilities in this regard, including mission analysis, guidance, and I’ve provided counsel and advice for governments, NGOs, and community and civil society organizations. This often focussed on conception, sharing and implementation processes and the monitoring and evaluation of projects and activities involving the promotion of women and female leadership in development. The diversity of these experiences gave me the opportunity to work in a number of socio-cultural contexts in different countries with various social and institutional partners.

I’ve always been passionate about humanitarian work, and have an unwaveringcommitment to sociological interventionto improvethe living conditions ofdisadvantaged communities. My involvementwithCrossroads International as a programming and monitoring and evaluationadviserin support of theAssociation pour la promotion de la femme sénégalaise (APROFES) in Senegal fits this mould. I’m always ready to defend social justice through the reduction of povertyand the empowerment ofvulnerable groups, including women.
