A very successful Club2Club fundraising event

Special thanks to all those who helped with our June 6th Club2Club evening reception in Toronto!

The night featured a speech by Cebile Manzini-Henwood, Executive Director of Swaziland Action Group Again Abuse and Crossroads International Board Member, on the work we are doing to empower girls in Swaziland. Special thanks to SubZero and Wolf showroom on King Street East for donating their venue for the evening, and for all the work done by our group of committed volunteers: Anne Marie and Tom Clune, Debbie Bush and Ryan Veteze, Christina McDowell, and Chef Corbin Tomaszeski.

The event raised over $12,000 for the Girls Empowerment Clubs in Swaziland, surpassing the initial goal of $10,000. But the best news is that our volunteers have said that their work has just begun. The surplus funds will go directly toward buildng the next Girls' Empowerment Club, and they will soon be kicking off the next phase of their campaign to help achieve this new goal! Visit their fundraising page to Donate to help build the next Girls' Club and learn about future activities.
